(Drivebycuriosity) - Philip Pearlstein likes naked women, even when they aren`t young anymore and show the tolls of their age. Betty Cuningham Gallery on Manhattan`s Rivington Street (bettycuningham ) has a exhibition with new paintings by the artist.
According to the
press release Perlstein claims that he paints "exactly what he saw,
without resorting to photography or narrative" (pearlstein).
That maybe so, but the positions and constellations looks a bit
surprising and uncomfortable to me. Anyway I took pictures of what I saw
there and present them here.

Did Pearlstein really squeeze his models between these requisites ( and how long?)
Did these models really rest on antlers and other strange things? But anyway I find them beautiful and well captured.
