Contemporary Art: Seed @ Paul Kamin Gallery New York

(Drivebycuriosity) - Manhattan`s Chelsea district is always worth a visit, there are so many classy art galleries. Last week I took a look into Paul Kamin Gallery. On 515 W. 27th Street they have an interesting group exhibition, called "Seed" (paulkasmin).

The press release claims that the curator Yvonne Force "brought together a group of contemporary artists who explore the complexity and resonance of a long association between the natural world, sexuality and fertility, and spirituality and mysticism" (exhibition). Anyway, I like many of the exhibited art works and display here my favorites from the show, a very subjective selection as usual.

Unfortunately their website doesn`t tell the creator of the image above, nor its title. But the painting is my favorite from this show anyway, I like the composition of delicate shapes and the pastel colors.

Above you can see another wonderful work: "Stuck" by Sophia Narrett and details of it (2016, embroidery thread and fabric, 62 x 38 inches, 157.5 x 96.5 cm).

Above Robin F. Williams`"In the Gutter" (2015, oil on canvas) followed by paintings by Lisa Yuskavage & Morgan Blair.

Below more images I like:
