Movies: Kingsman - The Secret Service
(Drivebycuriosity) - James Bond has been saving the world and fighting super villains for decades, at least on the cinema screen. The movie "Kingsman - The Secret Service" is a modern spoof version of the secret agent franchise (imdb).
The film shows that it is based on a comic book. There is no serious plot, but I enjoyed the frequent violent slapstick scenes anyway. Typically for this kind of popcorn entertainment there was a stream of fireworks of special effects and goofy actions. I had fun to watch the funky cinematography, supported by a hyper-active CGI.
Samuel L. Jackson incarnated the most funny villain I have seen in the recent years. It seems his character is a parody of the hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons. The Algerian born actress & hip-hop dancer Sofia Boutella, who performed as amputee henchwoman with bladed prosthetic legs, also had a remarkable appearance (and good be an amazing Bond Girl). I also enjoyed to see Michael Caine (born 1933) again, who stretched his remarkable list of credits as actors to No. 156 (at least 3 more are coming imdb).
"Kingsman" is Hollywood´s version of a children's birthday party.
