Contemporary Art: Recording Slices Of Life @ Castle Fitzjohns Gallery, New York
castlefitzjohns). They exhibit news paintings by Leah Tinari. The show is called "Through the looking glass 2.0" (through March 30, 2016).
According to the press release the New York based artist "cleverly combines their style of recording normal every day slices of life, with an eye more towards the visual we are used to seeing through our phones. With Tinari's "selfie" paintings she again cleverly creates a dialogue between "selfies" and the self portrait paintings of the last few centuries that were their origin".
