(Drivebycuriosity) - - Manhattan`s Lower East Side is slowly degenerating into a party district with a legion of fast food places & other dives. But there are still art galleries which cater upcoming in avangartist artists. Gallery Derek Eller on Broome Street belongs to them.
The other day I spotted their a show with works Dewey Crumpler. I was amazed by his surreal fantasies.
On top of this post you can see "Space Is!" (2021, acrylic and glitter on canvas, 16 x 20 in) followed by "MoMA's House" (2020, acrylic and collage on canvas, 18 x 24 in); "Blue Train" (2022, acrylic on canvas,16 x 20 in) & "In Time" (2020, acrylic and collage on canvas, 16 x 20 in).
Above this paragraph follow "Behind" (2020, acrylic on canvas, 22 x 28 in); "In Sight" (2021, acrylic on canvas, 18 x 36 in); "Klan Tubes" (2021, acrylic on canvas, 20 x 20 in) & "Midnights" (2022, acrylic on canvas, 16 x 20 in).
Last but not least: "Currency 2" (2019, acrylic, collage, and silver leaf on canvas, 60 x 72 in); "Sundown" (2020, acrylic on canvas, 16 x 20 in) & "IcuraLingah" (2021, acrylic on canvas, 18 x 14 in).
