New York City: Street Art - Centre-Fuge/Cycle 8

(Drivebycuriosity) - Recently I reported about the Centre-Fuge Public Art Project, a collective of street artists in New York City (drivebycuriosity).

The group is now showing their "Cycle 8" (centre-fuge). This is a collection of murals which reflects different styles and ideas. According to their website "Cycle 8" is a part of the New Museum’s IDEAS CITY Festival 2013, which was held in May.

As in the former cycles they used a trailer on East First Street - a satellite office for Second Avenue Subway workers - at First Street East which goes east-west between Bowery and First Avenue along Houston Street East (between the East Village and Lower East Side). For the new cycle they added art works on a wall in the "First Park", a tiny playground on East First Street and First Avenue (google).

According to their website the new works are shown from May through July 2013. I appreciate and admire their funny murals and I am looking forward to "Cycle 9".

Enjoy.
