Street Art New York: The Last Days Of 190 Bowery

(Drivebycuriosity) - New City is a paradise for street art lovers. Especially the address 190 Bowery is a mecca for connoisseurs of street art. You won´t find artsy murals there but the walls are covered with a chaotic cluster of stencils which creates an own piece of art. I have reported about this place here (driveby) and here (driveby).

But the days of this very special art shrine are counted. The former owner Jay Maisel had sold the building to a real estate company (curbed). It looks like that 190 Bowery, the former Germania Bank Building, will be soon converted into a classy apartment house and the street art will disappear.

I took some pictures from the current incarnation as a report of the last days of art object 190 Bowery.

Enjoy it while it lasts!
