(Drivebycuriosity) - I like to visit the art galleries in my neighborhood. New York`s trendy Lower East Side may have more than 100 art traders who focuse on contemporary art. There is always something new and interesting to see.
The
Dacia Gallery (
53 Stanton Street daciagallery) seems to focus on erotical art work. In October I reported about their group show "Protinus" (
driveby ). Now they have a new collection (in the moment of writing this post their website wasn`t updated). My favorite there is the painting you can see on the top of this post. The picture reminds me a bit of the sistine chapel and the work of the pre raphaelites.
The Gallery
Molly Krom (53C Stanton Street
gallerykrom) is showing works by
Cristina Fiorenza: "The Muttering Retreats" (through Januar 7, 2015).
The
Van Der Plas Gallery (156 Orchard Street
vanderplasgallery) has a group exhibition called "red, yellow, orange" which contains works by
Ford Crull, Debra Drexler & Peggy Cyphers.
Let the pictures speak for themselves. Enjoy!
