New York City: May In Tompkins Square Park, East Village

(Drivebycuriosity) - Ah May! Maybe the best of all months. In Germany we call the season "Wonnemonat" (month of pleasures). New York City wears her best dress. Everywhere you can see fresh green & lots of blossoms.

Today we went to Tompkins Square Park in Manhattan`s East Village to enjoy the great spring weather (blue sky, Temperatures around 66f/19C). As you can see the park, which is one of the plenty green places in the metropolis, shows a fireworks of colors and lawns & leaves look very fresh.

It seems that many New Yorker´s had the same idea. Lawns & benches were covered with sunbathers, who enjoyed the spring weather after the usual long & chilly New York winter, others were strolling under the trees or walking their dogs.
