(Drivebycuriosity) - Do you like paintings with funny compositions which are sometimes also provoking & surreal. Then you might enjoy a show @ March Gallery in Manhattan´s East Village. The art dealer displays paintings by Dianna Settles. The Exhibition is galled: "A Life worth living would be a life worth worth living" ( .marchgallery). Sounds like a tautology for me. She also likes long and senseless titles, but anyway.
Above you can see "Composition is nothing more than the fruits of an unexpected meeting between separate worlds and the promise contained in the becoming commune of that meeting (tree planters in the snow)" ( 2022, Acrylic and colored pencil on panel) followed by "All we ever wanted was everything (looting — immediate communization — shares no common ground with the world of the commodity. What would gallery and artist say if I would take some paintings away for free? But anyway.
I have no idea what´s going on above.
