New York City: Blizzard Of 2016

 

(Drivebycuriosity) - New York City has her first blizzard for this winter. Actually this is a "nor'easter",  a cyclonic storm that started over the Gulf of Mexico and has been been moving along the US east coast. But there are sometimes real blizzard conditions with strong gusts and whiteouts.  At 1.10 pm New York`s governor gave an emergency alarm, all non-emergincy vehicels had to clear the roads and drivers caught later could face an arrest. Bus traffic got suspended, shops, bars, movie theaters and other businesses are closed now. Many people are strolling in the snow, enjoying the unsual conditions.

It has been snowing since early in the morning and the snow has been accumulating all the time. I used the ocassion to walk around in my neighborhood and to take some pictures with my iPhone 6s Plus.
