Contemporary Art: Michelle Doll`s Intimate Moments @ Lyons Wier Gallery New York

(Drivebycuriosity) - I am a fan of Caravaggio and I like painters who are inspired by this genius. So I enjoyed a show @ Lyons Wier Gallery in Manhattan`s Chelsea destrict. The art dealer showed paintings by Michelle Doll (lyonswiergallery ). The way she displayed light & flesh reminded me of the Renaissance master. The press release claims that her "new paintings are celebrations of light rising out of darkness".

According to the press release the artist`s models are her close friends and family.
