The novel "New York Deep" by Andrew Morgan is a science fiction adventure story with very different elements (this is a spoiler free blog).
Some of the action parts were ridiculous and unbelievable, but there are also some scifi paragraphs based on cutting edge physics. The whole thing is blended with some metaphysics - and there is also a family story involved.
I found the book entertaining and liked the scifi ideas and browsed just the action and family parts. The book is a easy read for a day on the beach and in the moment of writing the Kindle version costs $3.99.
