(Drivebycuriosity) - My wife and I are still staying in Vancouver. Yesterday we hiked in Stanley Park, a forest on the northern end of the peninsula of Central Vancouver.
According to wikipedia: "Much of the park remains as densely forested as it was in the late 1800s, with about a half million trees, some of which stand as tall as 76 metres (249 ft) and are hundreds of years old"
The lush vegetation looks like a rain forest.
The park is accompanied by beaches.
and there are great views on the ocean, on West Vancouver and on this famous rock.
I did not see any
but this Great Blue Heron.
To be continued.
