(Drivebycuriosity) - My wife and I are continuing our exploration of Rome. On Saturday we took the subway, crossed the river and rode trough station Policlinico. From there we hiked from to the district San Lorenzo behind the huge railway station Termini. This is a bohemian neighborhood at the begin of gentrification, like New York´s Lower East Side in the 1990s I am told.
The neighborhood, close to a large university, is filled with bars, street cafes and some more ambitious restaurants catering mostly the locals.
We discovered a lot interesting street art.
Many concert posters intensified the scene atmosphere.
We also discovered a cemetery with artful tombs. Carpe diem!
To be continued.
