(Drivebycuriosity) - Mexico is a very religious country and Catholicism rules. Therefore the Basílica de Santa María de Guadalupe in Mexico City`s north is an important place and a famous pilgrim place. Yesterday may wife and I visited this area and I used the occasion to take some pictures.
Above some glances into the church ship and a chapel.
The front of the church - and the place before - are beautiful as well.
Above the basilica is another chapel and there is also a new and huge church for the masses of visitors who come from all over the country.
I like this sculpture.
The hill above the basilica offers an impressive view onto the mega-city.
To be continued
