Photography: Snapshots From Mexico City

(Drivebycuriosity) - In the recent days my wife and I visited Mexico City, our second visit since December 2018. This time we went there to attend the Doom City Fest, a heavy metal event, but also to explore the metropolis again and to have fun. Mexico`s capital belongs to the megacities of the world and there is so much to see. Like Los Angeles the city is a giant sprawl with some oases of high rises. This time we stayed just a short time there so I took just a small selection of snapshots. You can see my much more ambitious photo report from 2018 here .

From the plane I could see the huge sprawl with the oases of skyscrapers. We stayed again in Polanco, a lush upmarket neighborhood, comparable to Beverly Hills in Los Angeles.

MC has lots of modern buildings but I spotted also some nice old houses.

The megacity has a lot of traditional markets of course.

As usual we looked into some museums. Above an impression from Museo Tamayo Arte Contemporáneo  ( driveby).

Above a working place.

I could see a lot street art

and interesting billboards

The Doom City Fest, which had attracted us to MC, happened in a former factory.

It seems the city does not have a heart for pigs

Anyway we enjoyed dinners in MC`s restaurants. Above images from Chapulin & Raiz. No pork chops!

Enjoy!
