(Drivebycuriosity) - Manhattan`s Chinatown is rapidly gentrifying. New art galleries are sprouting like mushrooms in autumn. On a recent walk I discovered Gallery Long Story Short on Henry Street.
I spotted there 2 interesting exhibitions. This posts is about the show "No added Sugar" with paintings by Serpil Mavi Üstün ( lss.gallery ). The artist (b.1979,Turkey) lives and works in London since 2016.
Apparently the artist used the same model for all paintings. Maybe they are self-portraits. On top of this post you can see "A Song that goes on" followed by "Dirty Martini"; "Fortune Cookie" & "Gold Necklace". All 2023 and Oil on Linen.
