(Drivebycuriosity) - Yesterday my wife and I observed a concert by
Chelsea Wolfe @ Los Angeles`Palace Theatre. The American singer-songwriter is known for a mix of of gothic rock, doom metal, and folk music. Last night she gave a acoustic show, only accompanied by a keyborder. I liked her voice and her sinister songs but I missed the heavy & blurred guitars and percussion. Acoustic is not for me. Her psychedelic lightshow, which displayed her as a kind of witch on a pyre, was a bit of compensation.
Ioanna Gika, who opened the concert, was more for my taste. Like a fairy she delivered wonderful melodies, accompanied by guitar & percussion.
