(Drivebycuriosity) - Space flight belongs to the most impressive achievements of humankind. It represents technological progress, the hunger to explore "Terra incognita" and might even ensure the survival of humankind some days.
The American artist Michael Kagan gives some impressions with his huge paintings. I was lucky to see his show "It Lasts forever" @ London`s Almine Rech Gallery ( alminerech).
Above you can see "It lasts forever I" "II" & "III", all 2022 enamel on canvas
Above follow "Spacewalker"; "And I Will Be Allways Right Here" ; "Off the Moon" & "Moon Walker" all (2022, oil on linen)
Above you can see "Eagle" (2022, Aluminum with aluminum paint and diamond dust).
"Astronaut" (2022, Bronze with matt black patina).
And last but not least "Apollo 11" (2022, enamel on canvas).
To be continued
