- It´s auction season again. The global
auction houses have their huge spring auctions in New York City. As
usual my wife and I went their to see their huge galleries.
This post is about the auction galleries @ Phillips on Park Avenue ( phillips). There is the chance to discover a lot up-and-coming artists.
Visitors got greeted by Banksy´s wall-filling "Banksquiat. Boy and Dog in Stop and Search" (2018, acrylic and wax marker on birch wood, in 3 parts; 96 x 135 5/8 in,/243.8 x 344.5 cm).
What`s going on here? "Tail Ends" by Iranian artist Tala Madani (2013, acrylic, pencil and oil on canvas; 86 x 76 in/ 218.4 x 193 cm) followed by another Madani painting: "Becoming Animal".
Above another mysterious image: "At the Armoire" by Hugh Steers.
Above "The Critic" by Jamian Juliano-Villani & "Naomi 3" by Emma Stern.
Yes, this painting is called "Hair", created by Karin Lyons (2019, oil on canvas).
Unconditional Love
