(Drivebycuriosity) - Contemporary art is full of discoveries. On a walk on Broadway in Manhattan`s Tribeca district I spotted a wonderful exhibition @ Andrew Kreps Gallery ( andrewkreps). They exhibited the lovely works by Clare Rojas ( (b. 1976, Columbus, OH). The show is called "Go Placidly ".
I love Rojas`mix of "dense figurative scenes, and minimal, abstract compositions".
According to the press release the images are "references to Rojas` own life, and the Northern Californian landscape that surrounds her studio".
