(Drivebycuriosity) - New York City is a wonderful place for art lovers. Beside the huge famous art museums there are hundreds of art galleries, some of them can compete with any ambitious museum. And - contrary to the tourist infected museum - the access is always free, making photos is permitted and there are no crowds.
Pace belongs to the global power houses in the world of art. On 25th Street in Manhattan´s classy art district I saw recently three interesting shows. I already reported about the Schnabel exhibition (drivebycuriosity ). This post is about Sam Gilliam. The show is called "The last five years" and displays works the artist created between 2018 and 2022 (acrylic on beveled-edge canvas).
