(Drivebycuriosity) - New York`s Chelsea district is always worth a visit. There are so many classy art galleries. On my recent visit I spotted an interesting show @
Hollis Taggart (521 W 26 1ST Floor
hollistaggart ). They call the exhibition  "Highlight Chelsea". According to the press release they displayed "new and recent work by thirteen emerging and mid-career artists that together underscore the formal and conceptual diversity of contemporary practice" (
exhibitions).
I show here my favorites, a very subjective selection as usual. Above you can see
Matt Mignanelli`s "August Tides" (2018, Enamel and acrylic on canvas, 72 x 60 inches).
Above:
William Buchina`s  "Common Structures, Simple Mechanics
& Varying Degrees of Affection #16" (2018, Acrylic on canvas, 54 x
54 inches) plus 2 detail shots.
Above:
Hiroya Kurata`s "Fence" (2018, Oil on canvas, 39 x 44 inches).
Above:
Elizabeth Cooper`s "Untitled" (2016, Oil and enamel on canvas, 48 x 48 inches) &
Eric Shaw`s "Untitled" (2018,Acrylic on canvas, 40 x 48 inches).
To be continued
