Culture: A Visit @ Molaa - Museum Of Latin American Art Long Beach California

(Drivebycuriosity) - When I am traveling I like to take a look into the local art museums. My wife and I used a short stay in Long Beach, California, to visit the Molaa - Museum of Latin American Art (molaa ). The small museum has some interesting & funny exhibits.

Above you can see Philip Steins` “Fusion Model for Village Vanguard Mural" (1960, acrylic on masonite).

Above another piece by Steins: "Progress to come".

Above Tomás Ochoa`s “Amazonia on Fire from the Paradiese Black Line series”. The artist poured gun powder on a photography and set the image on fire.

Above more gun powder images by Tomás Ochoa.

Above images by the Argentinian artist Matías Duville.

These funny figures are created by Quique Rivera – an animation artist, sculptor, photographer, and film director. Apparently he got inspired by lionfisch and other sea animals.

Stay tuned
