(Drivebycuriosity) - Steel is an important material, used for skyscrapers, bridges, cars and many other things. But steel can also be used to create magnificent art works. I reported here already about the power steelworks by Richard Senna (driveby ). During a recent visit @ Marlborough Contemporary in Manhattan´s Chelsea district I spotted another incarnation of the versatile alloy. The art dealer showed works by Beverly Pepper. The exhibition was called "Cor-Ten" ( marlborough).
It is fascinating how Pepper and her teams forced the heavy material in such beautiful & elegant shapes, which almost look weightless.
These parts also remind me of chocolate bars.
