(Drivebycuriosity) - Do you like Adolph Gottlieb? I love his beautiful abstract compositions. At Pace, one of the ambitious galleries in Manhattan´s Chelsea district I saw an exhibition with works by the master - called "Classic Paintings" (
pacegallery). I have seen his paintings often before - in museums and in the galleries of auction houses, but observing them together in the spacious white halls of this gallery was priceless. I display here a small selection from the show, a very subjective choice as usual.
The images above look super-novas in some distant galaxies.
I indulge into the combinations of amazing colors & shapes.
