(Drivebycuriosity) - Contemporary art is full of surprises. During a recent visit of Manhattan`s art district Chelsea I saw an interesting art show @ Fergus McCaffrey. The art dealer calls the exhibition "In The Light Of Shade" (fergusmccaffrey).
I love Anna Conway`s mysterious painting "Desert" (2017, Oil on canvas, 30 x 48 inches (76.2 x 121.9 cm). What`s going on there?
I am also amazed by Conway`s painting "Steady As She Goes" (2018, Oil on panel,70 × 45 inches (177.8 × 114.3 cm).
Above 2 images by Marthy Jungwirth "Untitled" (2016, Oil on paper, mounted on canvas
56 1/4 x 70 1/2 inches (143 x 179 cm) & "Untitled (from the series 'Fundraising')" (2014, Oil on paper, mounted on canvas, 55 1/8 x 68 7/8 inches (140 x 175 cm) followed by Meredyth Sparks` "Extraction (Mauve Grid/Dresser Redux)" (2018, Altered digital print on canvas, thread 57 3/4 x 57 3/4 inches (146 x 146 cm).
