Contemporary Art: Nancy Graves @ Mitchell-Innes-Nash New York

(Drivebycuriosity) - Do you like abstracts. At my recent visit of Manhattan´s art district Chelsea I discover wall-filling abstracts @ Mitchell-Innes-Nash. The art dealer shows works by Nancy Graves, "one of the key figures of post-war art" (through April 6 2019   miandn). The exhibition refers to "Graves’s increasing fascination with maps, especially with recently available satellite imagery of the Earth, Moon and Mars. The artist used these images to create paintings and works on paper that bridge the arts and sciences; representation and abstraction".
