Contemporary Art: Same Bed, Different Dreams @ La Mama Gallery, New York

 

(Drivebycuriosity) - Contemporary Art has many concerns. Sometimes the artists just want to entertain. This weekend I saw a funny little exhibition which might belong into this category. New York`s  La Mama Gallery (LA Galleria on 47 Great Jones Street, between Bowery and Lafayette Street http://lamama.org/lagalleria/) has a new show called "Same Bed, Different Dreams" (through November 4. 2016). They exhibit large scale paintings by New York and Rome-based artist C. Finley.

I show his my favorites from the exhibition (all 2016, acrylic on canvas), a very subjective selection as usual. Let the images speak for themselves. On top of this post you can see "Taurus My Taurus Moon (Twin Bed)"  followed by "Virgo Shaping Her Own Characater (Full Bed).
