Contemporary Art: Stains On A Decade - Ten Years @ Josh Lilley London

(Drivebycuriosity) - My wife and I are exploring London. There are so many discoveries to be made. On our way to Mayfair we noticed the gallery Josh Lilley, located in Fitzrovia. The art dealer celebrated the 10s anniversary with a group exhibition called "Stains on a Decade": "Ten years and 80 exhibitions in, “Stains on a Decade” brings together 31 artists whose journey Josh has shared since the beginning, artists who have stopped through at important moments, and artists whose example has defined the gallery" (joshlilleygallery).

I present my favorites here, a very and subjective selection as usual. On top of this post you can see Christof Mascher`s "Dawn X2019" (Acrylic, spray paint and oil on panel, 47 × 38.5 cm). Above this paragraph follows Ian Davis` "Propogate 2019" (Acrylic on wood panel, 127 × 137 cm).

Above you can see Vicky Wright`s "Vicky Wright Scrying II (03:35:58)" (2019. oil and graphite on linen over aluminium panel, framed by cotton webbing, 119 × 83 × 3 cm) & Jack Burton`s "Night ship 2019" (Oil paint, Aqualac™, unique c-type print on canvas, 179 × 136.5 cm).

Above Nick Goss` "Washing Line" (2019. pigment stick, oil and screenprint on linen, 210 × 220 cm
7 / 31) & Svenja Deininger`s "Untitled" (2015. Oil on canvas, 82 × 57 cm).
