(Drivebycuriosity) - London`s Tate Britain shows a huge collection of British art works. One department focuses on William Blake (tate.org).
This was a British a painter, print maker and poet, radical &
rebellious, who lived from 1757 through 1827). His works are not my
taste, but somewhat interesting, so I display some photos from a recent
visit @ the Tate here.
On top of this post you can see "Satan smiting Job with Sore Boils" from 1826 followed by "Batsheba at the Bath" (1799-1800); "The six-footed Serpent attacking Agnollo Bruteschi" (1826-7).
Above: "Wat Tyler and the Tax-Gatherer" (1798); "Alfred and the Neat-Herd`s Wife" (1798) & "Dante in the Empyrean, Drinking at the River of Light" (1824-7).
Stay tuned
